What are your spa hours?
Spa Hours through June 23rd
Monday — Closed
Tuesday — Sunday 9am to 6pm
June 24th through End of Season
Monday — Saturday 8am to 7pm
Sunday 8am to 6pm
How can I make a reservation?
Appointment reservations at The Spa at Bar Harbor Club can be made by contacting us at 207.288.5251.
Who can help me choose the right spa treatments?
Our Spa Coordinators can answer any questions you may have about our treatments and services, and will happily assist you in creating a treatment plan that takes into account your current needs and future goals.
Will certain health considerations affect my treatments?
There are specific health conditions and disabilities that may require adjustments to your treatment. Please notify our Spa Coordinator of any concerns, ailments or medical conditions before booking your service. Please alert your therapist immediately if you experience any discomfort during your treatment.
Do you offer spa treatments for pregnant guests?
The Spa at Bar Harbor Club offers a variety of treatments that can be enjoyed during your pregnancy as well as services that should be avoided. We strongly suggest that you receive clearance from your physician prior to scheduling any spa treatment. Please notify our Spa Coordinators of your pregnancy when booking your appointments so they can offer their professional guidance. Please note that treatments will not be offered to guests in their first trimester.
How early should I arrive at the spa?
Please plan on arriving at the spa 15–30 minutes prior to your first scheduled treatment. This will allow you time to change as well as enjoy our other spa facilities, including the relaxation lounge, showers and sauna.
Will I still receive my treatment if am late for my appointment?
The spa will hold your appointment for 15 minutes after its scheduled start time. Guests who arrive within 15 of their appointment time will be charged in full, but will only receive the balance of your remaining treatment time. This policy ensures guests receiving services after you are not delayed. If you do not to arrive within 15 minutes, we will cancel your appointment and you will be charged in full for your scheduled service.
What is the spa's cancellation policy?
The spa requires 24-hour notice to cancel your appointment to avoid being charged the full service fee. This policy also applies to appointments for spa packages and private parties. A credit card number is required at the time you book your treatments.
What about gratuities for my spa artisan?
The Spa at Bar Harbor Club adds an 18% gratuity to all of our spa services and treatments for our therapists. Additional gratuities for your spa artisan can be added at your discretion.
What types of payment are accepted?
The Spa at Bar Harbor Club accepts all major credit cards and traveler's checks for our spa treatments. You may also charge spa services to your guest room or suite at the West Street Hotel. For your convenience, payment is accepted prior to your spa services.
What do I wear during my spa treatment?
While most body treatments are performed without clothing, we invite you to wear whatever is most comfortable for you. Please note that your body is fully draped during all treatments except for the specific area being worked on. Robes and slippers are provided in the men's and women's locker rooms.
What about my personal comfort level?
At The Spa at Bar Harbor Club, we want your spa experience to be as comfortable as possible. Whether you favor a particular room temperature, massage pressure or music volume, please notify your spa artisan of any personal preferences. For the comfort of all our guests, we request that cell phones and similar devices be turned off while in The Spa.
What should I do with my jewelry and valuables?
If you are staying at the West Street Hotel, we strongly suggest leaving all valuable items in your guest room or suite. The spa is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Is there a minimum age for spa treatments or the use of your facilities?
Young adults between the ages of 12 and 17 may receive certain salon services when accompanied by an adult guardian. Spa guests under 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please note that guests must be at least 17 years old to use The Bar Harbor Club Fitness Center.
Do I have to shave before my treatment?
Shaving is not required but is recommended for men prior to a facial. For men who do choose shave before their facial, please do so at least two (2) hours prior to your appointment time. Please do not shave prior to any body treatment or hair removal service.
Are Spa Gift Certificates available?
Spa Gift Certificates can be purchased in a specific denomination or for a particular spa treatment. Gift certificates can also be used towards purchases in our Spa Boutique.
